Description:

You need an internet connection in order to access the song database on the app so make sure you either are a part of the 3G network or that you have local WiFi to use.  There are a few bugs with the app including a lack of album art and artist information but overall it is a great way to get a lot of free music and add to your library.

Description:

This app is very easy to navigate and even offers a variety of different controls to let you skip through different parts of the videos that you download.  There are limited commercials and the videos all come in decent quality.  Go download the TV.com and enjoy your favorite television shows wherever you go!

This is a great way to bring personal television viewing around with you anywhere you go.  The best part about this app is that it is free.  You don’t have a ton of shows you can watch, but it’s enough to make the app completely worth it.  The video quality is actually really good and you can even toggle what kind of resolution you want to watch the videos in.  Definitely worth downloading if you are a TV.com fan.

Google Sky Map Android app Review

Description:

Google never ceases to surprise us with their handle on navigation and maps.  The Google Sky Map Android app is a star map that you can turn on and use to find any constellation, star, or planet that is currently in the sky.  The app offers a complete view of the stars and where they are on the map.  All you have to do is power up the app and you can immediately use it to view constellations in any direction.  There is also a search feature which allows you to look for certain planets or constellations and the app will use a small arrow and navigating system to help you turn you phone to the right angle to see it.

The app uses the phone’s built in compass, accelerometer, GPS and more in order to find star information and display it from your small mobile phone.  The app also has a variety of filters you can use to detect different universe anomalies.  You can turn off the grid, the planets, and constellation finders to see the stars however you would like.  You can also put the phone into either day or night mode.  Overall this is a really cool Android app that you can use to impress your friends with and is definitely worth downloading.

• Has a variety of filters that you can toggle on and off including Messier objects, grid lines, planets, and more
• You can also toggle between day and night mode
• There is a search function you can use to find certain planets, constellations, and more
• Uses incredible mapping technology, can even see the stars that are on the other side of the globe

Conclusion:

As far as the wow factor goes, this app is included among the best applications for the Android.  How cool is it that you can look in your phone at any direction, at any time of the day and see what stars and constellations are there?  So cool!  Not only that you can point it downwards at the Earth and see what constellations are on the other side of the world right now!  It is actually fairly accurate too, as I went out and found the only constellation that i know of (The Big Dipper) and held up my phone right at it.  The stars line up almost exactly and make for a pretty cool app to have on hand.  A great date idea for those guys out there that want to take a girl stargazing.

WordPress Android app Review

Description:

WordPress is one of the easiest web page providers to use in order to write blogs, posts, and other content for your sites.  The layout is easy to use and it is set up to help provide you with the simplest blogging experience you will find on the internet.  Well now this wonderful service has been brought to the Android through the WordPress Android app.  You can log onto your sites anytime and anywhere in order to edit content, post blogs, or read comments that others have made on your site.  It is a great way to stay connected and to make sure that you can perform the required amount of maintenance on your blogging site.

This app is a step up from the wpToGo app that has been out for a while and offers the ability to edit pages, reply to comments, and also is very easy to set up.

• You can create new pages and edit them.  Add pictures or format all while using your Android phone

• When you are setting up the first blog it is much easier to do so
• A great way to stay on top of your blogging career and make the most of your posts that you edit and put up on your sites

Conclusion:

Anyone that is familiar with the web knows how easy it can be to use WordPress, and now it has just been made even easier.  If you are big on blogging and want to have control over everything that is added to your site, then this app is a must have.  With all of the editing features available you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to reply to comments and provide maintenance for your sites.  What’s even better is that the app is actually free to download.

Sweet Dreams Android app Review

Description:

Have you ever gotten in your bed ready to go to sleep and then had a buddy call you in the middle of the night for some stupid reason and it woke you back up?  Well that doesn’t have to happen anymore with the help of the Sweet Dreams Android app.  This app is a very cool tool that will allow you hit the sack without having to worry about being interrupted by late night calls or notifications.

It can be really annoying to have to manually turn down your volume or set your phone to vibrate before you go to bed each night.  The Sweet Dreams app will take care of all of this for you by changing it all for you.  All you have to do is first set up the filters on the app so that they comply with your standards.  For instance you can set your phone to go into sleep mode at certain times of the day, in certain locations,  and you can also decide on sound levels and movement levels as well.  The app also offers some unique battery savings when you use the filters correctly.  That way you can help your own personal batteries recharge without wasting the ones on your phone.

This app is great for anyone that highly values their sleep and are currently interrupted by unimportant phone calls and notifications.

Conclusion:

As far as sleeping apps go, this is one of the best applications out there for the Android.  The only problem with this app is that the annoying phone calls only happen to some people.  Other people know that if a call comes later at night that it is usually an emergency.  The functionality of this app pretty much depends on your lifestyle and how early you decide to go to bed.
